Beard Transplantation with DHI (Direct Hair Implantation)
As the name of beard transplantation with DHI suggests, it is the procedure of directly planting the grafts taken from the beard without making any space beforehand.
Based on this formula, it has been developed over FUE, but it gives twice the chance of planting and offers the advantage of beautification in a shorter time.
Direct sowing should be done without touching the live part of the root, which is valuable in pencil method.
There is no change in the extraction stage. The difference in the middle of the two systems starts from this stage. In the DHI method, hair follicles or grafts are divided into clusters. They are placed in accordance with special hair pens, which we call implanters, ranging from 0.6 mm to 1 mm.
*We should reiterate the difference from the classical FUE formula that it is the direct sowing of the planting area without opening the channels.
The biggest advantage of DHI is that it allows root transfer up to 1 cm2 to 120. FUE is up to 40 cm2. These special pens provide the advantage of performing the drilling and planting process together. The blood supply in the planting region is less than FUE.
Since the roots are not touched, the waste rate is zero. Since this process requires more equipment and labor than FUE, it is more valuable than the FUE method. However, it provides FUE with superior success.
