Vitiligo is a skin disease that progresses with white spots caused by the loss of color of the skin. As a result of damage to the melanocyte cells, which produce pigment in the skin and give the skin its color, pigment cannot be produced. As a result of pigment deficiency, scattered and regional white spots occur on the skin. It is most common in the hands, arms, legs and face.
Although the exact cause of vitiligo is not known, some disorders in genes, genetic factors, deterioration of the immune system, tension, some diseases and impact play a role in the occurrence of the disease.
