BREAST ENLARGEMENT SURGERY (AUGMENTATION MAMOPLASTY)
The fact that your breasts are too small compared to your body or that they are not in the size you want is one of the most valuable reasons for having a breast augmentation surgery with a breast prosthesis. Breast augmentation surgery can be performed for health reasons in individuals whose breasts were removed as a result of some genetic diseases or after breast cancer.
WHAT IS A PROCESS OF BREAST (CHEST) PROSTHESIS SURGERY?
Breast augmentation surgery takes an average of 1 hour and you are examined before the surgery and after the necessary measurements, the most suitable breast prosthesis (breast silicone) for your body structure is selected and your breast enlargement surgery is performed.
RELATIONSHIP OF BREAST (CHEST) PROSTHESIS SURGERY AND BREAST CANCER
Breast replacement surgery does not increase the risk of breast cancer. However, the implanted prosthesis may delay the appearance of cancer tissue that may occur in the future, that is, mask it and cause a late diagnosis. By making comparisons with your pre- and post-operative examinations in the routine inspections you have in the future, if there is cancer, it increases the chances of early diagnosis and prevents masking or random confusion.
AFTER BREAST (CHEST) PROSTHESIS SURGERY, IS THERE A TRACE?
We can put the breast prosthesis under the armpit, around the nipple, under the chest line or from the abdomen during tummy tuck. Although these techniques are applied differently in each patient, the most preferred methods are the placement of the breast prosthesis around the nipple or under the breast. In both techniques, scars remain very little, but over the years, almost all of them disappear.
DO YOU PUT THE BREAST SILICONE (PROSTHESIS) UNDER THE MUSCLE OR FAT TISSUE?
The placement of the breast prosthesis can be under the muscle, under your breast tissue or in the area called the dual plane.
The area where the prosthesis will be placed is generally obvious during the examination.
IS THERE A RISK OF CONCERNING AFTER BREAST ENLARGEMENT SURGERY?
If you become pregnant after breast augmentation surgery, deformation and sagging of your breast may occur together with the breastfeeding period, so if you are planning to become pregnant in the near future, it would be beneficial to postpone this surgery until after delivery. However, if you will conceive after a long period of time after the implanted breast prosthesis and if you do not gain or lose too much weight in this period, you will not have any random thoughts, and your breastfeeding will not be affected as the breast (breast) prosthesis placed at the same time does not cause any damage to the milk ducts.
