Healthy nails are always more attractive. They reflect the person’s habits and well-being.
Nails are produced by skin cells found on the tips of the fingers and toes. Nails have a structure made of keratin. This powerful protein is only found in hair and skin. The nail itself consists of different layers.
Nails, like hair, grow out of the matrix. As old cells grow, new ones take their place. They are compressed, flattened and rigidly shaped. The average growth of nails per day is 0.1 mm. This rate may vary depending on age, time of year, and activities.
Fingernails grow faster than toenails. Nails of the dominant hand or foot grow faster than others. Nails grow faster in summer than in winter. Women’s nails grow faster than men’s. However, there may be differences in pregnancy and advanced age. The growth/growth of nails is also affected by disease and hormonal disorders.
Nails are more susceptible to wear, depending on their location. Nail diseases constitute 10% of all skin diseases. Most of us have stuck our fingers in the door at least once in our lifetime. Stinging or enduring ingrown toenails
