PRP treatment is used for skin rejuvenation, improving the quality of the skin, skin problems such as wrinkles, blemishes, acne scars, and hair loss treatment.
In PRP application, the patient’s own blood is centrifuged in a special tube and an enriched plasma is obtained by separating plasmocytes, growth factors and stem cells in the blood. The obtained serum is injected into the desired area (hair, skin, etc.). Applications are in the middle of 4-10 sessions depending on the type of problem. Application intervals are 2-4 weeks. Reminder therapy is recommended at 6-12 month intervals to maintain the current status after the cure treatment.
Since the patient’s own blood is used, there is no risk of allergy. If the patient has known immune system problems, especially autoimmune (Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.) diseases, this treatment cannot be applied.
Injections are made using very fine needles. During the application, superficial anesthesia with anesthetic creams is sufficient. After the application, slight redness, swelling and small bruises may occur at the injection points. These reactions go away ex officio in the middle of 2-10 days. For 1-2 days after the application, very irritating applications (massage, bath, scrub, heavy sports, sunlight) should be avoided on the treated area.
