What is teeth whitening?
Our genes determine our tooth color, just like our skin color, hair color or eye color. As some of us have naturally yellower teeth, some of us may also experience yellowing in teeth color over time due to cigarette, tea, coffee or wear on the teeth. In such cases, the process we apply to make our tooth color whiter is called bleaching. The whitening process is done in the dentist’s chair, it takes an average of 60 minutes. During the process, a special whitening gel is applied on the teeth and this gel is activated with a blue laser. It is very valuable to isolate the relevant area very adequately and to wear laser sight glasses to the patient during the process.
